Moray u18’s played their final league match before the Xmas break in Aberdeen against Aberdeen Wanderers on Saturday. With the game being played in atrocious conditions both teams did well to serve up a entertaining match and Moray fought back from a 10 point deficit to draw a match that neither team deserved to lose.

Moray u18’s made the trip down to Stonehaven on Saturday for a top of the table tussle with league leaders Mackie. In a close fought match with a depleted team due to injury and illness 15 man Moray pushed the Mackie lads all the way but lost out 34-18 in the end.

 Moray u18’s final opponents in the Cally north league before the October break were Aberdeen Wanderers and the local lads took the points with a clinical display in the first half which set them up for a 46-5 win. This moves them into 2nd place in the league behind Gordonston.

 Moray U16s finished off a very good season by putting in a terrifically committed performance against Perthshire in the final of the Caledonia U16 Shield Final in Inverness last Sunday. Coming from behind, the side secured a hard fought 7-7 draw and with it a share of the Shield.

 The Moray U16 competed the final of the Caledonia U16 Shield against Perthshire on Sunday at Highland. A very competitive game saw the final score Moray 7 Perthshire 7. The rules state that no extra time is played and therefore the teams share the trophy. A fantastic achievement for the U16 and their coaches.

 The Moray U18 competed the final of the Caledonia U18 Bowl against Aberden Grammar on Sunday at Highland. A superb all round display saw the Moray guys win the game by 34 points to 5. A fantastic effort by the U18 and their coaches.

This Sunday is a big day for both the Moray U16 and U18. The U16 side play Perthshire in the final of the Caledonia U16 Shield and the U18 side play Aberdeen Grammar in the final of the Caledonia U18 Bowl. Both matches are to be played at Highland Rugby Club at 12.30.

Moray u18’s welcomed Highland to Moriston for a training match after a frustrating 8 weeks for both teams due to the weather making pitches unplayable. The visitors were always going to be a stiff test having just been crowned league champions and in the last 8 of the National cup.
