MINI’S 6 NATIONS TRIP TO MURRAYFIELD 26/2/12
Tue 28th Feb 2012
title=With the prospect of a full coach and minibus! The cry was 'Women & children first'! But, gallant guys made the division easy.

Players and parents alike passed the time with; a Johnny English DVD, DS games, Sunday papers and playing cards, while others snacked away!

Lunch stop was taken at Kinross, so a chance for people to stretch their legs &for me to distribute the match tickets.

title=Once the coach was parked up in Edinburgh, and we'd walked to the stadium, we settled into our seats, only to suddenly see Davey Stuart face appear on the ground video screens, answering questions on Edinburgh Warriors, to win tickets for their Easter fixture, but he lost!

The game began, and Scotland competed well in spells, and were still in it at 10-10 at half time. There was improved fluid movement and ball handling when replacements came on, probably fired up by the usually frustrated Andy Robinson, but France just had the edge to win. Never mind, the players had enjoyed the match, and my schoolboy French was revived!

Ironically, there was more Facebook messages about the French streaker than the result!

title=A commiserating dram for some of the Dads, before setting off on foot for the walk back to the coach & trying to keep everyone together on the way back to the coach, only losing one pair, I think they're still walking home....

Sunday night and nothing open outside of the Capital, so less choices of venues for a rest stop, so went straight through.

title=It was a quieter trip back to Elgin except for back of the coach games of the slaps & knuckles. Even the minibus guys, seemed to have a trouble free trip.

So, the weather stayed dry, there was no dramas, & we watched a good game of rugby. Success in the books of the organiser!
