LONG LOST SIGN TURNS UP! by Graham Stables |
Wed 5th Feb 2014 |
The Moray Rugby Club sign that was washed away with the flood in 2007 has turned up! The faded timber sign took six years and travelled around 90 miles as the crow flies, to float its way down river and over sea to end up on the sands at Dingieshowe Beach, a spot which connects Deerness to the Orkney Mainland.
A big thanks to Orcadian Andrew Drever who e-mailed us to let us know and attached a photo: The spooky thing is that Orkney Rugby Club play in the same red and white hoops that we do.
