HUNTLY/INVERGORDON FESTIVALS
Fri 11th Oct 2013
Coaches responses after Huntly/Invergordon festivals:

HUNTLY FESTIVAL SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 21ST 2013
Well done Moray micros both teams reached the semi finals at Huntly. Loads of great tackling, passing and running. Fantastic start to the season especially for those who have just started. TERESA TAIT AND EMMA DOBBS - MICRO COACHES

Congrats to all who played today, I can only talk of the team I watched p6/7 reds. I expected rusty skills but no........ Fantastic defensive tackling and sharp in attack with lightning sharp reactions to lose ball. Tackling in defence was world class and the new lads stepped up well to the higher division.DAVID STUART AND MICK LEITCH - P6/7 COACHES

Well done to all the P4/5s today at Huntly some amazing rugby skills, slow start but once you got going you guy's went for it. Well deserved tries scored in the last match I think the Mars Bars bribe went down well as you won that game, I will take them with me on Sunday to Invergordon. Great team spirit, although there was a mishap which was dealt with by the ref, will discuss this at next training session!ROSIE HOSKISON AND SAM LOW - MINI/MICRO CONVENERS

INVERGORDON FESTIVAL SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 29TH 2013
A big well done to all Moray P4/5s you all played absolutely fantastically. The results are as follows for Moray Whites.... 3 wins, 2 lost & 1 draw, you all should be very pleased with yourselves. There were a few mishaps with the refs, just put that aside and congratulate your selves on what was an exceptional day of pure rugby. You guy's went out there all the time wanting to win, I know there was a few tears today but hey ho guy's you got up dusted you selves down and got right back in there, well done. Excellent team work was displayed by you all, great tries scored, amazing tackling as well. Look forward to seeing you all at training next week, unless I am back with 6/7s. Thanks to all the parent's for your support very much appreciated.YVONNE STUART AND BILL RUCK - P4/5 COACHES

Well done to all the Moray Micros - once again you all did us proud. You certainly showed Ross Sutherland how to play tag rugby. They all tackled, and passed and ran well. you all deserve medals!TERESA TAIT AND EMMA DOBBS - MICRO COACHES

Well done to all the 6/7s today. This coach is just pure bursting with pride. Every man jack and lady Jill (or Elena as we call her lol) played out of their skins. I saw little of the whites but what I did see was tremendous. Tackling and attack running was phenominal.
As for the reds (who I obviously saw more of) What a display!!! Tackling was hard ,fast and rapid with several peeps making multiple tackles on the bounce.
At 4 games won and 1 to play and more than 1hr of hard rugby played it would be fair to say the legs were getting tired and heavy but in the face of a (cough) strengthened Caithness side and all to play for you looked deep inside yourselves and found that extra 10% and left EVERYTHING on the pitch. Ending that game with honours even but a huge try count left the days honours yours.DAVID STUART- P6/7 COACH

Ladies and Gents of the P6/7 squad….truly inspirational stuff today from all 20 of you; every single one. Fearless, committed and really looking out for each other as an entire squad. Fantastic! Well done to the reds for finishing top of the table ( W4 D1 ) and winning the tournament. Phenomenal support play from all and some devestating tackling..again from all.
Whites (W3 L2 ) to come back and win that last game from 2 tries down after over an hour of rugby, with bodies going in from all angles on the lad that was about three times the size of all of you was grand stuff in the true spirit of Rugby Union and testament to the very best “never say die” attitude.
Thanks to all the parents and carers who put in the hard miles, I know it was a long day but it was very much worth it. You should all be very proud of your young players today.
MICK LEITCH P6/7 COACH
