MRFC ANNUAL DINNER - FRIDAY 27TH APRIL
Mon 19th Mar 2012
MRFC ANNUAL DINNER - FRIDAY 27TH APRILWe are pleased to announce that the guest speakers at this year's club dinner will be former Scotland and British Lion, Roy Laidlaw, and the hilarious after-dinner speaker, Scott Glynn.

Roy was capped 47 times, as a scrum-half, for Scotland between 1980–1988, and the British Lions in New Zealand in 1983. Amongst the highlights of his career, were his two tries in the Triple Crown decider in Dublin, and a long range solo try against England. His is also well known for his formidable partnership with fellow Internationalist and British Lion, John Rutherford, who spoke at the Moray club dinner in 2009.

Scott Glynn cut his rugby teeth at Preston Lodge High, before playing with P.L. Rugby Club. He still continues to play today with Ross High R.F.C (3rd's), and the over 35's whilst coaching for the under 16's. Scott has starred in a number of television adverts and drama roles such as Taggart and the acclaimed BBC documentary The History of Scotland.
Scott has had the privilege of sharing top tables with sporting legends such as Sir Alex Ferguson, Walter Smith, Kenny Milne, Andy Nicol, and Richard Hill.

The club dinner we will be returning to The Mansefield Hotel, Elgin for this year’s event on Friday 27th April (7pm for 7.30pm).

Numbers will once again be restricted to the venue size so if you are hoping to take a table we would ask that you book early. Tickets are priced at £40 and as in previous years to try and prevent the usual queues at the door, tickets for the dinner will be sold and paid for in advance and handed in on entry.

An order form to pre-order of drinks/spirits (at discounted rates) is available on request. Please be aware that drink prices on this pre-order are cheaper than the bar prices.

We would like to thank everyone's continued support of this event and hope you will be able to attend what will be, as always, a very enjoyable evening.

Kind regards

Iain Ednie
