JOINT TRAINING AT MORRISTON WITH HUNTLY AND KINLOSS - 13/11/11 by Phil Kelly |
Mon 21st Nov 2011 |
A session was arranged for these three clubs to meet at Morriston, and the day was blessed by decent weather (for November!), and on Rememberance Sunday, a minutes silence was held, and was respected by players, parents and coaches alike.
Huntly brought their usual mixture of Micros, P4/5 & P6/7, while Kinloss brought their Micros, and revitalised P4/5s.
The P6/7 pitch was a mass of players all keen to play and show their competitive edge.
P4/5s went through a round robin training session of passing, offload, ball presentation and tackling, to maintain the SRU Key National themes, before going into a round robin match scenario.
All of the players appeared to enjoy the experience, with very positive feedback coming from Parents of all clubs.
Training was followed by lunch. Micros had enjoyed enjoyed themselves so much, that they came back out and played some more!!
A very worth while joint training session. Huntly and Moray intend to repeat the experience in March, when Moray visit Huntly, and will be joined by Aberdeen Wanderers.
