LOSSIE TRAINING SESSION - 30TH OCT REPORT |
Thu 3rd Nov 2011 |
Rugby on the beach!!
Well, if it's good enough for the pro's, it's good enough for Moray RFC Micro/Minis!
Last Sunday, all of the Micro/Mini groups went to Lossie East Beach for our training last Sunday. The weather smiled on us, as we arrived - the Moray Riviera!!
P6/7s trained on the seashore, P4/5s trained on then sandy side of the inlet, and the Micros were situated safely in between the Dunes (safely away for the sea!).
P4/5s conducted a full training session supplemented by dunes work. P6/7s work hard down by the sea.
Micros (& their coaches) found the lure of the sand 'distracting'! It was a fine opportunity to vary our training venue and approach.
P4/5s only concern was, as the session went on the tide crept ever closer, so by the time the cool down came, players thought that they might end up in the water!!
P6/7 players again showed that they're made of hardy stuff with another casualty off to A&E, but no bones broken!
Hopefully, this session is scheduled to be repeated in the early Spring, and (you never know), if the ground isn't suitable at Morriston in February, P4/5s might end up back there sooner than we've planned!
Well done to all, great session!
