| HEDGEHOGS START WITH A WIN |

 The first game for Moray's newly formed 2nds XV got off to a flying start with a hard fought 43 - 7 win against Inverness Craig Dunain on Saturday.
The friendly fixture was played at Morriston in excellent conditions for running rugby and to the credit of both teams that is exactly what they did for the full 80 minutes.
 Moray dominated the first half running in four tries from John Hestor, John Stewart, Alex Stronnach and Martin Donaldson with two conversions from Dale Smith. 24 - 0 at half time.
The second half was a far more even affair with three Moray tries coming from Hestor, Steven Cruikshank, and Joe McColl with Smith adding two more conversions.
 After long periods of pressure Craig Dunain deservedly crossed the line to make the final score 43 - 7. The score line did not reflect the close nature of the contest but the overall dominance of the Moray pack allowed their backs to take full advantage of space out wide.
 Moray's coach, Angus Henderson was particularly pleased to be able to play the fixture from a 22 man match-day squad. This was an encouraging sign for what is hoped to be the first of many 2nd XV fixtures providing an excellent opportunity for senior fringe players and juniors to pick up much needed game time, as well as those players old, and new, to the game to get involved.
