| YOUNG PERSON'S SPORTS PANEL |

We are delighted to share with you that applications are now open for the Young people’s sport panel.
The Young people’s sport panel offers an exciting and unique opportunity for young people in Scotland to have a voice to influence and lead sport in Scotland.
We are looking for young people who are aged between 14 – 25 years, passionate about sport and want to make a difference.
The role description and application can be accessed here. Please note applications will close at 5pm on Friday 7th Feb.

Nearly two years on, the sport panel has made a significant contribution to sport in Scotland through key activities aligned to its two roles. The two roles are – to influence and shape the future of sport in Scotland and raise the profile of sport.
Here are some examples of key activities the sport panel have been involved in:
Scottish Government, Youth Sport Strategy
Contributed and shaped draft Youth Sport Strategy which is currently out for consultation
Scottish Government, Children and Young People Bill
Informed sportscotland’s response to the Children and Young People Bill
Community Sport Hubs
Leading the development of Young Hub Leaders
School sport
Involved in consultation and driving future work of the School Sport Awards
Web content
Developing content to raise the profile of sport to young people
sportscotland board and partner events
Opportunity to attend and actively contribute at sportscotland board meetings
Leading and contributing to workshops and discussions at networking events.
