MILLAR MAKES HIS MARK |
Tue 22nd Dec 2009 |
Last season’s ‘Player of the Year’ Lee Millar is making a huge impact in his first season at Border’s Club Gala.
Son of ex Moray player and now coach Brian Millar, Lee left Elgin for the Borders College in Galashiels last September, joining Premier 2 side Gala.
After starting the season in the 2nd XV, he has now forced his way into the 1st XV and is now a regular. A couple of weeks ago he scored his first try for the senior side in the win against Jed-Forest.
Moray President Graham Stables said “We are all very proud of what Lee has achieved in such a short time at such a famous rugby club. He learned the game through our excellent youth system and I am convinced he is destined for far higher things. The youngsters coming through the ranks just now should look up to him as a role model. Well done Lee!”
